Aman Ullah obtained his PhD with distinction in Chemical Sciences and Technologies from the University of Genoa (Italy), working together at Southern Methodist University (USA). Presently, he serves as a professor and the Director of the Lipid Utilization Labs at the University of Alberta (Canada). Ullah and his research team focus on synthesizing novel monomers, biopolymers, and bioconjugates from renewable sources, aiming for diverse industrial applications. He has over 100 publications, 18 book chapters, and 9 patents or applications. He has received multiple awards including a Canadian Rising Star (2012) award, an ALES Research and Innovation Award (2019), and an ASTech Innovation Award (2022). Shakeel Ahmed (PhD) is an assistant professor of chemistry in the Higher Education Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir and assistant professor in the Postgraduate Department of Chemistry, Government Postgraduate College Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, India. He has published several research publications in areas of green nanomaterials and biopolymers for various applications including biomedical, packaging, and water treatment. He is regular member of the American Chemical Society (USA), a member of Royal Society of Chemistry (UK), a member of the International Association of Advanced Materials (Sweden), and a life member of the Asian Polymer Association and Society of Materials Chemistry (India). He is also a fellow of The Linnean Society of London, UK and the International Society for Development and Sustainability (Japan). He has published more than 30 books on nanomaterials and green materials with publishers of international repute, and he is the recipient of many awards; he also has a few patents to his credit.
