FAULTY OR DAMAGED ITEMS
Please contact us regarding your issue. Arrangement will made with you for either a replacement or a full refund of your purchase price (including any shipping costs). Returns must be accompanied by your receipt and returned to us within 60 days. If sending by mail, please contact us for our Reply Paid address.
CHANGE OF MIND
FOR ITEMS NOT YET SUPPLIED TO YOU:
If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. If we have already ordered the item(s), we may at our discretion issue a credit note to you. If we are unable to cancel the order from our supplier (i.e. we can't return it), then the transaction will be treated as a firm sale (i.e. no refund).

FOR ITEMS ALREADY SUPPLIED TO YOU:
We may at our discretion issue a credit note for items returned within 14 days and in a condition to re-sell as new. Please contact us first for approval.
DELIVERY TIMELINES
When placing an order online, you agree not to hold Abbey's liable for any loss or damage directly or indirectly arising out of, or in connection with, any delay or failure to deliver within estimated delivery timeframes.
PRICES
All prices are in Australian Dollars and include Goods & Services Tax (GST). Prices are subject to change without notice.

Our BARGAINS are limited in quantity and prices are valid only while stock lasts. If you order multiple copies, we hope we have enough on hand to fill your order, however we'll advise you if there is a shortfall in the quantity and you can then decide whether to proceed.

We make every effort to keep prices current. Occasionally however, when the book status is 'We can order this in for you', we can sometimes discover when we go to order it for you from our supplier, that the data they have supplied into our website is incorrect and their price has changed. If the new price is greater than that quoted on our site, we will confirm your order with you first. Or if you prefer, we can cancel that item from your order.
WHAT TYPES OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
RETAIL CUSTOMERS - We accept Credit Cards (American Express, Visa, Mastercard, see note below for pre-paid cards) and PayPal. We do not accept cash or direct deposits for online payments and we accept no responsibility for the theft, loss or non-delivery of mailed cash.

ACCOUNT CUSTOMERS - In addition to Credit Card and PayPal options, Account customers also have the option of being invoiced. An Account has to be established prior to your first order to activate this payment option.

PRE-PAID CREDIT CARDS - You can pay with these however pre-paid credit cards require manual payment processing and cannot be made online. Our automated credit card payments processing provider (Securepay) does not accept pre-paid credit cards (you receive a 'Charge Rejected' notice that your payment has failed). To use these cards you will need to phone us on +61 (0)2 9264 3111 to place your order and we will be able to manually process your payment using your pre-paid credit card.

WHEN IS MY CREDIT CARD CHARGED?
Your credit card is charged within 72 hours of your order.
WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A CREDIT CARD?
For retail customers (i.e. individuals - not schools, libraries, etc) the only option for purchasing without a credit card or PayPal is by Pick-Up & Pay In-store. This service is only available for pre-approved customers with an order history (i.e. not first-time customers). See more information on this service below.
PICK-UP IN-STORE • PAY IN-STORE
PAY ONLINE & PICK-UP IN-STORE: You can pay online and select Pick-up In-store as the delivery option.

PICK-UP & PAY IN-STORE This service is only available for pre-approved customers with an order history (i.e. not first-time customers). Only approved customers have this as a payment option in Checkout. This service allows you to complete your order online and select to have it held at the shop for collection. NO GST IS PAID FOR OVERSEAS ADDRESSES
If an order is shipped to a delivery address outside of Australia, the Goods & Services Tax (GST) is not charged.
DO YOU ACCEPT CHEQUES DRAWN ON BANK ACCOUNTS OUTSIDE OF AUSTRALIA?
Sorry. Accountant says "No".

My credit card is being rejected, but there are available funds?
Sometimes our merchant rejects credit cards for "security" reasons, often related to the card country and the billing/delivery addresses being different. Sometimes we can manually attempt to recharge the card - if you would like to do this please call or email us at orders@abbeys.com.au.

Alternatively you can use PayPal's "Pay with a Card" option for payment. This does not require a PayPal Account, but simply uses PayPal as the merchant.

To use this option: select PayPal as the payment option in our check out, and in the window that pops up select the white "Pay with a Card" button (it is located at the bottom of the window, below the blue "Log In" button) and enter your contact details, card details and billing address.
