Editors Tabakov, Milano, Sprawls, Stoeva, Tipnis, and Underwood have expanded the 2013 work of the same title. This great resource has more than 3,300 entries. Compiling a book that covers all areas of medical physics is a heroic task, and the editors have done a wonderful job. This expanded edition includes more than 650 new terms related to the fields of non-ionising radiation safety and medical equipment management. Each entry is concise and easy to read, making appropriate use of equations and figures, with further readings included. Every library and hospital should have a copy of this work...This book will be a useful reference for medical professionals, particularly radiologists, including those still in training. Summing Up: Recommended. Graduate students, faculty, and professionals. -L. S. Cahill, Memorial University of Newfoundland in CHOICE, August 2022.
