Case Studies in Counselor Education provides readers with a comprehensive examination of various themes fundamental to counselor preparation, guided by the CACREP 2024 Foundational Curricular Standards and ensuring alignment with current educational standards and practices within the discipline.

The text is divided into two main sections. The first lays groundwork with an introduction to learning theories, approaches, and taxonomies within counselor education. The second part features a series of contributed case studies aligned with specific curricular areas such as professional counseling orientation and ethical practice, social and cultural identities and experiences, lifespan development, group counseling, assessment, counseling practice, and career development. Each case study aims to stimulate critical thinking and practical application of counseling concepts through real-world scenarios and reflective questions.

Offering a relevant, hands-on learning experience, Case Studies in Counselor Education is an exemplary resource for aspiring and practicing counselor educators and supervisors.
