Selected for the CBC Hot Off the Press Spotlight THE BENEFITS OF BOARD BOOKS. Selected for The Children’s Book Council’s June 2024 ""Hot Off The Press"" Reading List ""Toddler-PreS–The traditional tale gets a freshly engineered remake with die-cut pages that capture all the action. When the wolf blows the straw house down, the swoops of the page cuts highlight the wolf’s breath and the straw’s flimsiness, while also bringing the true meaning of the story home. This is just plain fun, for newcomers to the story or older, wiser children, too. VERDICT The format of the pages will delight readers."" —John Scott, School Library Journal ""Everyone knows the Three Little Pigs, but this book brings the story too life in a new way with shaped edges and a multidimensional format. And the book still fits in the palm of your hand! There's also great illustrations of the pigs building, running, and shouting, all with super dramatic expressions."" —Rachel Feeck, YA Books Central ""The fun, shaped board book shape is perfect for young readers and brings the classic fairy tale to life with simple text and colorful illustrations. Each page is like a scene from the story in a smaller size for little hands to read over and over. A great board book retelling of a classic. It also teaches the valuable lesson that working hard pays off."" —Julie Durmis, Youth Services Book Review ""These small boardbooks have fun shapes, following the adventures of the main characters of each story. I really love the fun concept of these books ! They can also make a perfect background if your child has small figurines and enjoys inventing stories. The illustrations are truly adorable and sweet as well."" —A Blue Box Full of Books, IG
