""From small seeds, great plants grow. Sometimes these seeds grow into books. Write and Publish Organically is a primer, but more than that, a poem dedicated to faith-based publishing. Cathy Lawton covers the process of writing a book from germination to harvest and delivery. This book guides the aspiring author and well-published authors like me to do our best work and produce our most abundant harvest. An inspirational text for authors at every stage of their writing journey."" -Bruce Epperly, author of Homegrown Mystics and many others books ""I can't fully express my delight and joy in reading this new book, authored by Catherine Lawton. Its pages are rich with detail and word pictures that inspire good writing. The author brings a lifetime of family history that help to cast new perspectives on building our ""gardens of words and stories"". I especially appreciate the way she ... captures the adventure of writing. This book would be very appropriate for any writer or publisher, as there are many takeaways that one can easily incorporate into a writing life. I also believe it would be beneficial to anyone who likes to read a good book, because that's exactly what this is: a good book!"" -Susan Elaine Jenkins, author of Scandalon ""In Write and Publish Organically, author and publisher Catherine Lawton gives the reader a glimpse into both the soul and logistics of a Christian publisher. She eloquently shares the rich and varied sources that have influenced her work-personally, spiritually, professionally, and logistically. The author's weaving of both the reflective and practical provides the reader-whether a publisher or author or both-with valuable insights and practical tips for writing, publishing, and marketing but with a sense of having enjoyed a rich conversation over a cup of coffee."" -Janyne McConnaughey, PhD, award-winning author of Trauma in the Pews and Brave ""Write and Publish Organically is refreshingly counter-culture to much of the writing advice expressed on internet videos to write what sells, produce low-content books by the shelf full, and generate significant income with minimal effort. Lawton suggests implementing a five-step writing/publishing process that's organic in nature.... Worthy of a slow and reflective read!"" -David J. Claassen, minister, author of Growing Older Gracefully ""This is one of the most unusual writing books you will read and one that you won't soon forget. The author uses her many years of experience as a writer and publisher, as well as her biblical and theological studies. She also draws insights from her love of gardening and applies them to the various writing stages. I appreciate her encouragement to bring an integrated, authentic life to writing and marketing, and I am thankful to have a book that spurs new writing approaches."" -Judith Galblum Pex, author of Walk the Land ""Catherine Lawton's latest book breaks new ground. She challenges writers to unearth dormant seeds within, so that fresh, fearless fruit can form ... fruit that facilitates hope to blossom, encourages resistance to sameness and safe ground, and provokes inclusion and connectedness. Such a harvest promises life-giving nourishment to readers hungry for healthy organic soul food."" -Alice Scott-Ferguson, author of Daughter of the Isles
