Born in Dublin and raised in Limerick, Dr Tony Holohan was educated at University College Dublin, where he met his wife, Emer Feely. During a successful career in public health he served as Chief Medical Officer in Ireland for 14 years, and is currently Adjunct Full Professor of Public Health at UCD, and a Non-Executive Board Member of the Irish Hospice Foundation. He lives in Dublin with his two children.
