I have a message for you. However, this message won't be easy for you to hear. It will likely challenge your very idea of yourself - the identity you have worked so hard to construct for however many years you have lived past the time of your fall from innocence.
I want you to discover through what I have to say that we are indeed fallen angels, which means we are divine creatures, but we live in the face of the death of our mortal bodies and the loss of everything that we have used to piece and hold ourselves together. This is a terrible challenge, yet it has been given to us by a good God.
I have written these essays from my own experience. Some of what I have to say may have been classified heretical by whatever faith you have inherited or adopted for yourself. But all real heresy is based in the belief and the need of the human spirit/soul to be equal to its creator. The source of this need is hidden from our view because it comes from the level of ourselves that is beneath our conscious minds. We don't realize what motivates us from deep inside ourselves, but we always trust it for that very reason. However, it is also the source of self-condemnation. We have designed our religions to alleviate guilt, and to help us believe in our struggle to believe that we are safe in our chosen identities.
This solution, however, is based in judgment (the knowledge of good and evil). We use judgment in order to define a self in relation to something outside ourselves - usually other people. They are ""us"" or ""not us"". ""Us"" is good, and ""not us"" is evil. This is the essence of what we call love, and also of resentment, hatred, and war. The devil, also known as the satan, is hidden inside us. It is the adversary and accuser both of God and of our mortal selves. Our task here on earth is to win the battle against the divine fallen part of ourselves, and to raise it up along with our bodies of flesh.
I hope to prove to you from the Bible and from reason that this is our shared human challenge, and that you can and will win the battle. We are all children of one parent, who is God. As the best possible parent, He loves and intends to save every one of us. The fiery furnace is the power of His love. It is Him, and He burns away the dross. The light at the end of the tunnel of torment on this fallen earth is inner peace, love, and joy, now and forever. The battle is already won in heaven, and heaven already exists.
Fear not!
