Shi Chen is Professor of Surgery at the Institute of Organ Transplantation, Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, in China. He has been engaged in clinical and basic organ transplantation research for over 40 years. He has published over 200 papers and 10 books on organ transplantation, including organ transplantation surgical techniques, immunology, transplantation pathology, and history and progress. He was the editor-in-chief of the Chinese Journal of Organ Transplantation for many years and is now the honorary editor-in-chief of the journal. During many years of clinical and basic research on organ transplantation, he was particularly interested in the history of organ transplantation and collected a large number of documents and historical pictures.
