""". . . valuable and worthy for any counselor, pastor, or person to have in his or her library."" -Christopher K. Cornine, PhD, LPC, NCC, CCMHC, Clinical Director, Diakonos Counseling

""Megli's work helps to fill a large gap in needed literature from the perspective of biblical faith about death, dying, grieving, and living for eternity."" -Dr. Kenneth J. Parker, Senior Pastor, First Baptist Church, Kearney, Missouri; Author of Elephants in the Church: What the Bible Says about Fourteen Contemporary Issues

We are witnessing a crisis in the Christian community of unresolved grief and pain. Not acknowledging the truth of death holds us back from fully enjoying the divine gifts of hope and happiness.

If anyone can model the ability to live with joy after life, it's Job. Two Stitches and a Patch builds on the seven movements of Job's restored happiness while filling in the pieces of the divine action physics that leads to life after death.

Build confidence by leaning in and listening to those who are at the end of life, and reboot your life in the embrace of the changes that create a life well lived."

Reviews for Two Stitches and a Patch: Overcoming Grief through the Power of Faith

"""In this book, Dr. Megli has used a gentle, relatable voice to communicate some difficult tasks in regards to facing death and grief. His stories and illustrations are usable as a grief-recovery tool, counseling handbook, or text for a course on death and grief. This work is valuable and worthy for any counselor, pastor, or person to have in his or her library."" -Christopher K. Cornine, PhD, LPC, NCC, CCMHC, Clinical Director, Diakonos Counseling ""We need theologically rich, balanced approaches to death and dying, and Megli certainly offers that. Prepare to be encouraged and prepare to delve deeply into an important subject. Further, be prepared to pass this good work along to other pilgrims on the journey of grief. Thanks for the privilege of sharing this. I really do appreciate your work with this. I think it will be very helpful!"" -Dr. Kenneth J. Parker, Senior Pastor, First Baptist Church, Kearney, Missouri; Author of Elephants in the Church: What the Bible Says about Fourteen Contemporary Issues ""Two Stitches and a Patch uniquely captures the topic of grief with Terry's own life experiences. Terry does a great job in helping the reader in understanding the Scripture in order to apply it to loss and grief. . . . For all who have experienced or will experience the death of loved ones, this book is a wonderful comfort and a must-read!"" -Debbie Mance, Director of Human Resources, City Union Mission ""Two Stitches and a Patch helps one to understand and process their grief. . . . When a death occurs, it affects our perspective whether we focus on the positive or live in regrets. Grief affects how we relate and connect to others. Or whether we 'stuff' our grief or 'reflect' on their influence and legacy. When a death occurs we are in a time of 'bereavement, ' which has the word 'reave' in the middle of the word. That word 'reave' means to 'seize, grasp, lay ahold of, and take something very precious away.' That is what death has done to us; death has taken something very precious away. This book is personal with biblical principles to help understand how Job processed his grief. This book will encourage and give you support in your journey of healing."" -Rev. Roger Megli, Retired Pastor, Hospice Chaplain, Funeral Home Owner/Director ""[Megli] takes the reader on a worthy journey, hopefully to healing. His tone is very personal, empathetic, and inclusive. He uses good metaphors and good stories, good use of scripture."" -Deborah Loyd, Author of Your Vocational Credo, Co-Author of Dynamic Adventure: A Guide to Starting and Shaping Mission Churches, Educator, Vocational/Leadership Coach, and Mentor"
