Dr Julie Peakman is an historian who teaches in the Department of History, Classics and Archaeology at Birkbeck College, University of London, and contributes regularly to the press, popular and academic journals and has worked on TV documentaries for the BBC. She is a prolific and prize-winning author. She has 21 books on Goodreads for leading publishers and writes on historical on social and cultural themes, biography, and historical sexuality.
