"Totem" is a new video-based course filmed like a TV series, based on an encounter between two French families in Nantes. Each chapter in the book - there are 7 in total - consists of three double page spreads that are introduced by different media - video, written text or audio. A further spread uses an innovative approach to observing and understanding cultural meaning in the video and documents. This is followed by a double page of exercises and practice tasks for the DELF exams. Included with the book is an interactive version of the textbook that includes all the audio and video materials for students to download via an access code given in the book.
