Brent R. Bielefeldt is a research engineer specializing in multidisciplinary design and optimization and adaptive structures. He received a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A & M University (2020) and is a recipient of the Texas A & M Distinguished Graduate Student Award and a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the National Research Council. Darren J. Hartl is an Associate Professor of Aerospace Engineering at Texas A & M University with a history of multifunctional structures research that includes government laboratory and industry projects. He leads both experimental and theoretical development efforts and was the 2016 winner of the ASME Gary Anderson Early Achievement Award. Marcelo H. Kobayashi is a Professor at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He received a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and PhD in Mathematics from IST/TU Lisbon. He was runner-up in the 2003 Portuguese Young Investigator Award in Applied and Computational Mechanics and director of the Hawaii Open Supercomputing Center (2010-2012).
