For those that know, it is indeed an honour to play the great game of water polo, but even greater glory lies in becoming champions against some of the very best clubs in the sport. This history is dedicated to the perseverence and commitment of members of the great Bronte Amateur Water Polo Club, across its brief but stellar existence, which spanned from 1943 to 1975. Bronte became both metropolitan and NSW champions on a number of occasions, and it was rare to find a State Team throughout that period without a representative from Bronte. While the club sadly fell away in 1975, no one has ever been able to put their finger on the cause of Bronte's downfall, until the explanations outlined in this book. From the founders of this great club right through to those who were there at the end, all felt an immense pride at having been involved with the legendary Bronte Water Polo Club.
