Julie Jackson taught theatre history and design at Columbia College in Chicago, USA for seventeen years and worked with Frank Galati as a professional costume designer in the city’s off-Loop theatres. She has chaired theatre programs at Marshall University and Indiana University Northwest.
This is a spectacular book about a truly spectacular figure in American theatre whose contributions of art and heart are equally magnanimous. Jackson gives us a rare, in-the-room account of Galati's thrilling vision as it unfolds-and inspiration for the kind of theatre we need now more than ever. * Della Pollock, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA *
