Louise graduated from the London College of Music with ALCM and LLCM and began her first post as Woodwind teacher for North Devon LEA. Since her subsequent post as Woodwind tutor for Blundell's School, Louise's ongoing freelance work in Somerset has involved teaching people of all ages and performing with a variety of Classical, Jazz and Klezmer ensembles. Her music projects have been many and varied. They include co-founding The High Park Community Music School, which enables any child to play music; forming the adult band Hoot moving adults towards improvisation; and collaborating on The Mosaic of Art and Vision, workshops designed to teach children how to create art inspired by music. Since gaining a B Sc (Hons) in Psychology, Louise has focussed attention on the hurdles that limit playing potential and developing Wizwind. This innovative and compelling teaching method is designed for people who struggle to read music, enabling students to choose a tune one week and be playing it the next. The Wizwind method liberates students whose reliance on reading music prevents them from developing their improvising potential.
