Olivier Klein is a professor of social psychology at the Université libre de Bruxelles, Belgium. Vincent Yzerbyt is a professor of social psychology at the Université catholique de Louvain, Belgium. They were both involved in the ""motivation barometer"", a large-scale project that tracked attitudes towards vaccination (and other health behaviours) across the COVID-19 pandemic in Belgium.
Klein and Yzerbyt’s book is a valuable window on the societal dimensions of vaccination which surround individual vaccine decisions. Emotions, rumours, risk, trust and altruism are among the mix of influences that this very important book examines in the context of vaccination. --Heidi J Larson, Professor of Anthropology, Risk and Decision Science; Director, The Vaccine Confidence Project, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine; and Visiting Professor, Centre for Evaluation of Vaccines, University of Antwerp, and KU Leuven Belgium.
