"Dr. Jenice Rankins (EdD, MS, BS RDN), an alumna of Columbia University, Iowa State University, and Tuskegee University (TU), is the author of this book, ""The Path From Grandpa BC Rankins Farm"". Dr. Rankins is credited with a forty-year nutrition career: first, as City Nutritionist in Newark N.J.; and then as a TU faculty member and director of an International Food and Nutrition Center, which afforded working opportunities with USAID-funded projects in seven African Countries, Jamaica, Haiti, and Guadeloupe. She joined Florida State University (FSU) faculty in 1989, where she taught courses and conducted dietetics research and counseling with Bond Community Health Center (BCHC) until retirement in 2015. She is presently a self-employed nutritionist, focusing on Culinary Functional Nutrition. ""The Path From Grandpa BC Rankins Farm"" is the outcome of over fifteen years of research progressively gathered and presented during bi-annual family reunions honoring Grandpa BC Rankins Sr., his wife Alice Sanders Rankins, and their off-spring. During all of those years, the objective has been to compile and expand the history into a book.... I suppose all of this has earned her the title of Family Historian. However, her most important title has always been and will always be Primary Caregiver for her deceased mom (Alvie Mae Sanders Rankins), dad (March Rankins Sr.), and oldest sister (Mary Helen Rankins, a.k.a.- Macie)."
