The Voices for Indi collective from north-east Victoria have been closely involved with the community group of that name which began in Wangaratta in 2012. The group came together around a shared and passionate desire to see the standard of political representation raised above and beyond political-party offerings, which they felt were too often driven by vested interests and showed little policy innovation. These ordinary citizens from many walks of life and with a diverse range of skills are all now committed political activists and proud champions of what has become a major social and political movement in Australia.
