R.C. Sobti is former Vice-Chancellor of Panjab University, Chandigarh, and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow. He is a scientist, an able administrator, and a dynamic institution builder. He was bestowed with one of the highest civilian awards, Padmashri, by the Government of India in 2009. He has published more than 350 papers in journals of repute and about five dozen books in diverse areas. He is fellow of a number of Academies including Indian National Science Academy, National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Medical Sciences, National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, World Academy of Sciences, and Canadian Academy of Cardiovascular Diseases. Vipin Sobti is an educationist and has been teaching psychology and child development for more than 40 years both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. After completing her term as Principal, Government College, Mohali, Punjab (India), she was nominated as member of Education Tribunal, Punjab. She has published a few books and a number of articles, and has attended delivered talks in conferences in India and abroad. Monika Aggarwal is Professor at the University Institute of Applied Management Sciences, Panjab University. She has published a number of papers/reports and has actively participated in conferences in India and abroad. She is Co-Investigator in the ICSSR research programme on Green Business Strategies and in ‘Transforming India’s Green Revolution by Research and Empowerment for Sustainable Food Supplies’ sponsored by Research Councils, UK.
