his is an example of creative thinking that sees the meeting between the ancient tradition of the Quran and modern education as a gateway to progress and development. The publication of your book in Arabic and English will not only draw attention to the project you have initiated, but will also expose many readers worldwide to the cultural encounter that occurs daily in Israel, an encounter that does not always receive the respect it deserves. Reuven (Ruvi) Rivlin Presidentof Israel ----------- A very impressive work ... which you carried out with a group of Bedouin students. Yuli Tamir Minister of Education (2006-2009), Israel ----------- My impression is that this pioneering experiment can serve as effective material for study.... I welcome this good idea and I wish every success to the team which is carrying out the project. Sheikh Abdullah Nimer Darwish Founder of the Islamic movement ----------- I must emphasize that this work is a blessed project, the first of its kind in this country, the fruit of cooperation between a teacher and his students. This initiative deserves gratitude, appreciation and attention. It inspires fresh ways of thinking and encourages initiative for creativity and innovation in this and other spheres. The researcher who links modern science with the Quran and Islamic culture, is making a valuable contribution for the benefit of mankind as a whole. Sheikh Muhammed Omari Deputy Chief Inspector of Islamic Religious Teaching, Ministry of Education and Culture. ------------ I must admit that as a student of the Qur'an for the past twenty years, I was fascinated by Ofer's work. For me it is a demonstration of the authenticity of the Qur'an's claim to be a guide for all humanity. The book is exceptionally clear in the manner in which a wide range of difficulties that people experience can be solved by means of the Qur'an. I hope and pray that the reader will make use of this book, and benefit from the wealth of knowledge it contains. I would urge all students of the Qur'an, irrespective of their religion, belief or culture, to read this book.
