Basil E. Gala was born in Corfu, Greece, and educated at Athens College, a Greek American preparatory school. Upon graduation he immigrated to the United States and earned a Master's degree in Engineering Science from the California Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.He worked as an aerospace engineer and university professor until his retirement.Holden-Day published Dr. Gala's computer text The Computation of Probability in 1973. In 2002 New Vistas Media published the first edition of The God Connection. Basil has continued his pursuit of scientific and philosophical knowledge and has written several dozen essays on various philosophical and practical subjects since the publication of The God Connection.Dr. Gala lives with his family in San Diego County, California.
