Susan Merritt has a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from Newburgh Theological Seminary, an M.A. in Humanities from CSU-Dominguez Hills, and a B.A. in Music from the University of Nevada, Reno. Dr. Merritt has helped her congregation to ""see"" what is really going on in the spiritual realm through her prayer and discerning of spirits gifts. A retired teacher, Susan lives in Northern Nevada with her husband. They have three adult children who are married and have children of their own. Dr. Gil Stieglitz is a prolific author, engaging speaker, change-directing catalyst, encouraging pastor, dynamic professor, insightful counselor, and relentless leadership coach. He serves as a pastor at Bayside Church, a dynamic multi-site church on the north side of Sacramento, Calif. Susan Merritt has done a fantastic job of expressing the complexity of the spiritual gift of discernment in The Gift of Seeing Angels and Demons. The book is worth buying just for the extensive Reading List, Bibliography and End Notes. I've known so many Christians with the gift of discernment and it's a tough gift! LOTS of spiritual warfare. This book is a much-needed resources for those who have, or work with people who have, this gift. You especially enjoy the 7 principles of spiritual warfare and how to determine your giftedness.
