Ambelin Kwaymullina loves reading sci-fi and fantasy and has wanted to write a novel since she was six years old. She comes from the Palyku people of the Pilbara region of Western Australia. When not reading or writing, she teaches law, illustrates books, and hangs out with her dogs. She lives in Australia.
If the plot's complex, the theme resounding through this powerful trilogy couldn't be clearer: we have the power to choose love over hate and life over death, to forgive ourselves and others; either all life matters or none of it does.--Kirkus Reviews (starred review)
