This English-English-Bengali Dictionary-a bilingual dictionary covering a wide range of English vocabulary from different subject areas and interests. The word list covers diverse subject areas like computing, business studies, sciences, geography, mathematics, literature, the arts, agriculture, law and politics.

It also includes many words relevant to the cultural context of the Indian Subcontinent as also Indian English words that have become a part of English usage. The dictionary carries a large number of usage notes in Bengali that explain key elements of English grammar and writing as well as help with active vocabulary building. A lot of attention has been paid in the dictionary in providing help with pronunciation both through the International Phonetic Alphabet and its equivalent in Bengali. Another feature that has been added to help with comprehension, particularly of scientific and technical vocabulary, is diagrams. Moitreyee Mitra (PhD) retired as Reader in Bengali at University of Delhi. She is a recognized translator of English to Bengali and Hindi to Bengali. She has translated a number of books for various publishers in India. She has been an editor in Bengali and contributes articles in various literary journals. She is also actively involved in social service working for the under-privileged woman. Dipendranath Mitra has had a long and chequered publishing career and retired as the All-India Production Manager, Oxford University Press India. He has served as the Assistant Director, Publications Division, Government of India.
