"Author Andy Lipman was born and diagnosed with cystic fibrosis in 1973, and is the author of four books primarily focused on the disease. Additionally, Lipman is a motivational speaker who goes around the world and speaks on the importance of demonstrating a positive attitude, having a sense of humor, and staying physically fit to be successful in the battle against depression, anxiety, and CF.Lipman is a strong proponent for being compliant both with a regular exercise routine and a consistent daily medical regimen. The latter he learned from his parents, Charles and Eva, who rarely missed a day of administrating his postural drainage therapy or forcing him to take his enzymes. Lipman credits physical fitness, medical breakthroughs, and a strong support system for helping him to live to the age of forty-five, nearly triple the number he and those born during the 1970s were expected to live. While Lipman takes pleasure in his role in the world of cystic fibrosis, he is proudest of three things: his daughter, Avery, his son, Ethan, and his wife, Andrea, who provided the inspiration for this book. He is also grateful for his younger sister, Emily, and the rest of his family and friends, who have been so supportive of his many goals. He spends his free time rooting for his Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, and Atlanta Falcons, coaching his children in whatever little-league sport they desire to play, and counting his lucky stars that he married the woman of his dreams.Lipman's motto is ""Live your dreams and love your life."" He believes that every single warrior in this book has demonstrated those words."
