This little book is just as good as the predecessors - better in some way - and deals with a range of processes that are too often almost ignored. [The authors] concentrate on further and higher education, mainly on the latter. One of the book' strengths is that it looks fare wider than at the assessment of undergraduate course work and exam scripts. So there are tips on the assessment of theses, displays, portfolios and practical activities, and there's material on self-assessment and quality control. -- British Journal of Educational Technology
