Maxine was saddened by the loss of one of her beautiful horses, then, in the aftermath of the devastating Black Saturday bush fires she discovered a little horse that needed rescuing. This story is about how Ebony came into Maxine's life and how she settled into her new home which she shared with another horse called Harry and a cat called Indy. Told from the point of view of the animals; Ebony, Harry and Indy recount all their adventures in the paddock at Maxine's.
