Reviews for Stirring into Flame: A Year with the Holy Spirit

""Stirring into Flame is a treasure that can inspire us all to do our part in sharing Jesus with others and to have a way to fan the flame of God's love working powerfully through the Holy Spirit. My prayer is this book will be read by all people. May Jesus be praised!"" - Mother Lucy Lukasiewicz, DLJC, Superior General ""A must read for both beginner and seasoned Holy Spirit seekers. Personally, I have found the book very enriching and helpful."" - Bishop Daniel Felton, Diocese of Duluth ""Stirring into Flame's invitation to get to know and to love the self-effacing member of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, is timely. Fifty years ago, St. Paul VI called for a new devotion to the Holy Spirit, fueled by a new study of his role in the mystery of Christ and in the mystery of the Church, ""as an inevitable complement to the teaching of Vatican II. Stirring into Flame's method, lectio divina, facilitates the movement from mind to heart, from reading (lectio) to reflection (meditatio) to devotion (oratio-contemplatio), so that the revealed truth about the Holy Spirit becomes light for one's life (actio). - Douglas Bushman, S.T.L. Retired Prof. of Theology By carefully collecting hundreds of pieces of spiritual wisdom, Deacon Knuth diligently crafts a masterful mosaic of meditations that carefully craft a tangible portrait of the Holy Spirit. This is a manageable ""Holy Minute"" daily devotion for busy mamas. - Danielle Rose Hesley, wife, mother, and music missionary
