Spencer Kimbell's special interest is baking. For her birthday, her mothers surprise her with a brand new stand mixer! Sid, Spencer's younger sibling, is intrigued by the new gadget--until it starts whirring and burring and making their body hurt!
After the mixer causes Sid to have a sensory meltdown, the Kimbell family calls a meeting to try and figure out what to do next. They'll have to come up with a solution that protects everyone in the family but also allows Spencer to explore her special interest. But how?
In the end, the Kimbells' help accommodate Sid's sensory needs by getting them some ear defenders. With the help of their trusty new ear defenders and the close supervision of their mothers, both Kimbell siblings are able to coexist once again.
