The author of some 30 produced plays, performance texts, monologues and radio scripts across fiction and non-fiction, Noelle Janaczewska's numerous nominations and prizes include: the 2006 Queensland Premier's Literary Award for Mrs Petrov's Shoe (Theatre @ Risk, 2006); the 2002 Griffin Playwriting Award and first prize in the 2001 Playbox-Asialink Playwriting Competition for Songket, produced by the Griffin Theatre Company and The Studio at the Sydney Opera House to a sell-out season in 2003; four AWGIE Awards for radio writing; a Centenary Medal for radio scriptwriting; an Asialink Literature Residency in Korea, and Fellowships from the Theatre and Literature Boards of the Australia Council.
