Matthew was born in District Six, the vibrant mixed-race community that was torn down by the South African Government during apartheid. His parents were spiritual and community leaders who played an active role in the fight against injustice.Travelling extensively in between a 20-year corporate career, he encounters the dark side of Asia's tourist trade which sparks a burning desire to understand his purpose, and sets him on the path to ultimately writing Son of a Preacher Man.Today, Matthew continues his modern day ministry from beachside Sydney, thanks to a more than decade-long daily meditation practice.
