Dr. Turan Paksoy received his B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Gazi University in 1998, his M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering in 2001, and his Ph.D. degree in Production Management from Selçuk University in 2004. In 2008 he received an associate degree in production management from the National Academic Council of Turkey. In 2015 he was promoted to full professor at Selçuk University and attended London Kingston University as a visiting professor. Dr. Paksoy worked as a faculty member at Konya Technical University, Department of Industrial Engineering, from June 2018 to October 2020. He was assigned as Dean of the Faculty of Aviation and Space Sciences at Necmettin Erbakan University in November 2020. He served 2.5 years as Dean and offered courses at the Aviation Management Department till September 2023 at this faculty. Dr. Paksoy has been working as a faculty member at Necmettin Erbakan University, Department of Industrial Engineering since September 2023. He was awarded the position of Visiting Professor by the Faculty of Business and Law at Northumbria University Newcastle U.K. from January 2024 to January 2027. He was honored to be chosen for “Global Sustainable Leaders” by the U.S Green Chamber of Commerce in 2018. Dr. Paksoy has over 300 published papers (about 45 papers in SCI-indexed journals). His papers appear frequently in reputable and internationally recognized journals such as Computers and Industrial Engineering, the European Journal of Operational Research, Transportation Research, and the International Journal of Production Research. Dr. Paksoy has three edited books titled Lean & Green Supply Chain Management, Logistics 4.0: Digital Transformation of the Supply Chain Management, and Smart & Sustainable Operations and Supply Chain Management in Industry 4.0 published by Springer and Taylor & Francis CRC Press in Germany and the United States. Dr. Sercan Demir received his B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Selcuk University in 2008. He completed his M.S. degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles in 2012, and was awarded his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Miami in 2017. Dr. Demir's research focuses on Industry 4.0 and Digital Transformation, Sustainable SCM, Disaster Risk Management, Humanitarian SCM, and Game Theory Applications in SCM. His papers appear frequently in reputable and internationally recognized journals such as Computers & Industrial Engineering, Journal of Cleaner Production, Socio-Economic Planning Sciences, and Expert Systems with Applications. In addition to his extensive research contributions, Dr. Demir has authored chapters in two influential books: Logistics 4.0: Digital Transformation of Supply Chain Management, and Smart and Sustainable Operations and Supply Chain Management in Industry 4.0. His chapters provide valuable insights into the evolving landscape of supply chain management in the digital age, addressing the challenges and opportunities presented by Logistics 4.0 and the integration of smart and sustainable practices in Industry 4.0. He teaches operations management, inventory management, and computer simulation systems courses.
