Use your art to channel your emotions!

Miles Hightower is a fourteen-year-old boy who loves art. His mom is his biggest supporter and loves all of his paintings. When she becomes ill, it breaks Miles's heart. Soon, he finds out she can't pay the medical bills, so he comes up with a plan. Will he be able to pay for the bills and figure out what's truly important?

Young Authors Publishing is a children's book publisher that exists to share the stories of Black & Brown children. We believe in writing our future. That's why we're switching up the narrative, publishing books for children and young adults that reflect how diverse our world is. We're on a mission to empower the authors of tomorrow, using their words to change the dialogue around representation in literature. We're the next generation of publishing here to start a movement through our books of change.

Ashton Harris Hightower is eleven years old. He likes making YouTube videos on his channel. He also loves to draw and make custom shoes. At home, he reads graphic novels and comic books. He also loves spending time with his family: his mom, dad, aunt, sister, brother, and cousin! When he’s older, Ashton wants to have his own clothing line and comic book line. Young Authors Publishing is a nonprofit children's book publisher that exists to share the stories of children. We believe that all kids are story worthy and that every child should see themselves and their experiences reflected in the books they read. Our two-part mission is to produce diverse and culturally relevant children's books and to use book publishing as a vehicle to economic mobility for our young authors. Royalties from their book sales are deposited into a savings account for each young author to access at 18 to use toward their post-secondary plans.
