"Dominique Serafini divides his life between several passions - drawing, painting, diving and sailing. Graduated from the National School of Fine Arts in Paris, May 1968, he joined the Cousteau team in 1980 and embarked aboard the Calypso. At the time, Dominique was in Saint-Pierre, Martinique where he was working on launching a Saint-Pierre wreck museum. For this project, he created a large-scale model representing the bay and all its wrecks, as well as a slide show with photographer Philippe Bastin. This project was initiated by Jean Bally, politician, diver and friend of Jacques Cousteau. Unfortunately, the museum still has yet to be built. Claim to fame: in 1983, Dominique was the first to dive on the wreck of the Tamaya. During the following years, he produced the 17 volumes of ""L'Aventure de l'équipe Cousteau en bandes dessinées"" with the Cousteau team. This series, translated into eight languages, met with great success and has been awarded numerous prizes. He is the author of numerous other books, articles, exhibitions and together with Cathy Salisbury, stars in the television series DreamWrecks."
