Jerry W. Jones, MD FACEP FAAEM is a diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine who practiced internal medicine and emergency medicine for over 40 years. Dr. Jones is a graduate of Tulane University and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. After a residency in internal medicine, he became one of the first full-time emergency physicians - even before emergency medicine residencies and board certification.Dr. Jones has been on the clinical teaching faculties of the University of Oklahoma and The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He is a published author who has also been featured in the New York Times and the Annals of Emergency Medicine for his work in the developing field of telemedicine. Dr Jones has lectured and conducted classes in the USA, Canada, Europe and Australia.In addition, Dr. Jones is also a a Fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, and also holds memberships in the Texas College of Emergency Physicians and the American College of Cardiology.He is now retired from clinical practice and occupies him time teaching advanced electrocardiography and writing books on ECG interpretation.
