"Sacred Portals to personal experiences with God. Poetry opens the imagination to think with the heart. Sacred Portals is filled with meditations to provoke you toward sacred experiences that you will hold dear for a lifetime. There are so many ways of experiencing God and creating opportunity to ""be known as you are fully known."" Opening up our heads, hearts, and bodies to more of God may just lead us into unexplored territory that we have yet to imagine.

This book beckons...

Anyone seeking to open imagination...

Anyone yearning to hear from the sacred place...

Anyone who hungers or thirsts...

Anyone believing there is more...

Anyone desiring authentically...

Anyone craving to express something deep within...

Anyone longing

for God...

Come, explore, taste, see, feast.

Four main ingredients you'll find woven into each of these readings are worship, prayer, Scripture, and invitations to experience fellowship...core ingredients of our sacred journey. If you've enjoyed many wonderful sacred practices like Lectio Divina or The Emmanuel Moment, then you'll enjoy this wider application that also invites freedom and creativity. Afterall, the Scripture says we must ""become like children to enter the kingdom of heaven."" Play on!"

Margaret Merle Dean has gone by Maggie since birth and uses her full name to remember her beloved great Aunt Barbara Merle, whom she was named after. She has been working as a teacher for just shy of a decade. Some years ago she found herself avidly writing through an immersive prayer journey. These prayers seemed to have morphed into poetry, ever to her surprise. Her heart is for all the things she writes to evoke in others their own unique experience of God. She prays and believes that the Holy Spirit will continue to create beauty in her work for others and she's an avid believer that creative works gives birth to new creative works. In reading her work, may you find yourself in the midst of making new creations as well.
