Reviews for Routledge Intensive German Course

"""My overall response to the proposed course is a very positive one. The author addresses the typical needs of ab initio German at Tertiary level. I could well imagine this work being used at the University of Glasgow...With this course, Mr Hartley could provide a most valuable tool."" (Dr Peter Hasler, Department of German, University of Glasgow) Ruth Whittle, University of Birmingham, also reviewed the proposal: she felt that it was ""well-aimed, well-informed and...feasible as well as exciting"". However, she had a number of detailed points to make about language use and the discrepancy between the sample units and the course outline/intentions. ""The proposed course has a sound methodological approach to German and a well thought out structure. It would fill a niche with its more structured grammar syllabus and ballanced approach to teaching the four skills... I can generally recommend the course"". Uwe Richter, Field Leader, German, Anglia Polytechnnic University"
