Dame Daphne du Maurier, Lady Browning DBE was an English author and playwright. Many of her works have been adapted into films, including the novels Rebecca and Jamaica Inn and the short stories The Birds and Don't Look Now. Anna Massey was an actress known for The Machinist (2004), Frenzy (1972) and Peeping Tom (1960). She performed on screen and stage for over 50 years, and won a BAFTA Award for the role of Edith Hope in the 1986 TV adaptation of Anita Brookner's novel Hotel du Lac.
