Yasuhiko Arakawa is a Specially Appointed Professor of the Institute for Nano Quantum Electronics at The University of Tokyo, a Professor Emeritus at The University of Tokyo, a Program Director of the MEXT Q-LEAP, and the Supervisor of CREST Quantum Technology. He is a Foreign Member of the US National Academy of Engineering and the Past President of International Commission for Optics (ICO). Dieter Bimberg is the Director of the Bimberg Chinese-German Center for Green Photonics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences at CIOMP, Changchun and Founding Director of the Center of NanoPhotonics at TU Berlin. He is a Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, a Foreign Member of the National Academy of Engineering of USA, and a Fellow of the US National Academy of Inventors.
