Yiguang Ju is the Robert Porter Patterson Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Princeton University, the Director of the US Department of Energy (DOE) Energy Earthshot Research Center (EERC) for plasma‑enhanced hydrogen production, and the head of Electromanufacturing Science and Associated Faculty at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL). He received his B.S. in Engineering Thermophysics from Tsinghua University in 1986, and his Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Tohoku University in 1994. Dr. Ju’s research interests include combustion, fuels, plasma, and electrified manufacturing. He has published more than 300 refereed journal articles. He is a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). He is also an inaugural fellow of the Combustion Institute. He served as the chair of the US Section of the Combustion Institute and a board member of the Combustion Institute. He also served as an associate editor for Proceedings of Combustion Institute and AIAA Journal and a steering committee member of National Academies of Sciences Decadal Survey on Biological and Physical Sciences Research in Space of NASA. He received many honors including the NASA Director’s Certificate of Appreciation award, the Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the International Prize of the Japanese Combustion Society, and the Alfred C. Egerton Gold Medal from the Combustion Institute. He is a co‑founder of HiTNano Inc, Princeton NuEnergy Inc, Polymer‑X Inc, and USPlasma Inc. He is also the founding President of Asian American Academy of Science and Engineering (AAASE). Andrey Starikovskiy is a senior research specialist in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Princeton University. He received his Ph.D in Mechanics of Gases and Plasma from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in 1991 and his Doctor of Science degree in Physics and Chemistry of Plasma, Thermophysics and Molecular Physics from the Institute for High-Temperature Studies, Russian Academy of Science in 2000. Dr. Starikovskiy’s research interests include combustion, fuels, plasma, molecular energy transfer processes, electron and ion kinetics, plasma aerodynamics, and supersonic and hypersonic flows. He has published more than 250 refereed papers and 8 book chapters. He is the author of six patents. He is an Editor-in-Chief for Plasma journal. He is also a member of the editorial board for the journals Energies and Plasma Research Express. Dr. Starikovskiy is an associate fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He is also a member of AIAA Plasmadynamics and Lasers Technical Committee.
