ABBEY'S BOOKSELLER PICK ----- This is a companion book to Plantastic: A to Z of Australian Plants (Hb 29.99) and details another 26 extraordinary examples of our native flora. From Ant Plant (an epiphyte with a symbiotic relationship to Golden ants and Apollo Jewel butterflies) through to Zostera (Seagrass which might provide a solution for capturing microplastics), this wonderful book shows that plants are fascinating! With double page spreads for each specimen, illustrations by Rachel Gyan that are artistic renderings yet accurate enough to use as guides, quirky facts and approachable and entertaining information, this is perfect for the aspiring middle-to-upper primary aged botanist.
