Photoelectrochemical Bioanalysis: Fundamentals and Emerging Applications covers the fundamentals from a basic to advanced level, along with the latest accounting of emerging applications. As photoelectrochemical bioanalysis is a rapidly developing area with a wide range developments occurring alongside, it can be difficult for beginners to grasp the understanding of the ever-growing and continuously expanding body of knowledge. Sections detail information on applications in bioanalysis, their working principles, the methodologies of constructions and the approaches adopted with their respective advantages and disadvantages.

This book will assist researchers in understanding the latest advances in the materials and engineering aspects of PCE bioanalysis. It also provides researchers with an overview of modern strategies applied for the performance enhancement of PCE materials as well as the modifications suggested to improve the potential of PCE bioanalytical techniques. Last but not least, it will assist researchers in finding gaps and potential opportunities in the field to impart novelty in their research

Dr. Muhammad Altaf is an Associate Professor at Department of Chemistry, Government College University Lahore where he leads Functional Materials Research Group's Inorganic Materials research. He has over 70 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and around 40 US Patents to his credit. Dr. Raja Shahid Ashraf’s research concentrates on the design, synthesis, and characterization of organic/inorganic hybrid materials for energy storage and conversion. He is also working with the close collaboration of academic and industrial partners to understand and improve nano-materials design for the next generation photo and electrocatalysts. He has been author/co-author of over 70 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals Dr. Manzar Sohail, Professor of Chemistry at National University of Science and Technology, Pakistan, has a PhD in Chemistry from the Monash University Australia, one of world’s top ranked university. He is expert in the electrochemical techniques particularly analytical voltammetry, potentiometery, amperometry, coulometry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. He has mastered skills in the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), near edge X-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) and X-ray diffraction techniques. He has licenses from international organizations to work with X-ray based and nuclear radiations.
