I'm a former horticulturist who worked in the gardening and landscape field for half of my life. I've worked in garden centers, as a perennial greenhouse manager, as a landscape designer, as an independent landscape contractor, and I was a municipal horticulturist for six years, taking care of over 20 gardens, a 300-rose rose garden, and planting 100 trees per year. I now have a trick back to show for it, but the memories live on! Everything I've learned out in the field, I'm sharing here with you in these books.
Everything you wanted to know about growing houseplants indoors. Know how pretty they are when you bring them home and then in a few weeks they start looking weepy. You need this book as it covers it all, lighting, fertilizing, insects, mold, temperature, etc. A wonderful resource for any home gardener. Houseplants are so beneficial for the air quality in your home, but you have to keep them alive for them to help. Rosefiend Cordell is a wonderful author and I have enjoyed reading all of her books. Gardening she knows and writes it in a way I find very interesting and helpful to the novice gardener. I will buy her books. In a way, I think this book is the author's romance with plants. There were up and downs, things that work and others that didn't, plus a few villains (bugs) -- now, does not that sound like a romance? I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book and I believe you would not be unhappy if you had it in your non-fiction collection of books.
