As we move toward the third decade of the 21st century, Christians concerned with defending the right to life face daunting new challenges. To protect fellow humans against emerging threats, we must re-examine the effectiveness of our most fundamental strategies. The following essays serve as a critical contribution to the conversation among individuals and organizations who, as diverse as they may be, are unified on the biblical principles of the sanctity of human life and human dignity for all those created in the image of God--without exception and without compromise.

"Attended Emmaus Bible College 1970-1973 Summer of 1973 he studied under Francis Schaefer at L'Abri, Switzerland. 1981 - 1995 Dan was founder and CEO of the largest architectural millwork installation company in the southeastern USA (The King's Carpenters). In 1995 he sold his business and started Advanced Communication Technology & Services, Inc. In real life, Dan is a telecommunication consultant to Christian ministries with a clientele that included Billy Graham Ministries, Insight for Living, Wycliffe Bible Translators, JAARS, Crown Ministries and several other non-profit Christian ministries. Dan has been active in Republican politics since 1988. From 1990-1992 Dan served as the Georgia Director for David Bryant's, Concerts of Prayer. During the course of a statewide prayer meeting at the Georgia Capitol, God called Dan to run for political office. Dan ran against Nathan Deal (current Governor of Georgia and now ally) for US House in north Georgia's 9th Congressional seat. Using his protected Federal free speech platform, Dan forced the Atlanta television outlets to air 30 second ads and 30 minute infomercials which revealed in graphic detail, the evil of abortion. Dan was asked to serve as Political Action Director for Georgia Right to Life in 1999 and was recently appointed President in 2007. He has served for 7years as a National Board Member of National Right to Life and has been instrumental in challenging them to embrace ""the Personhood of all human life"" as the biblical pro-life strategy for the 21st century. To better equip this generation of prolife activists Dan has founded the Personhood Alliance a group of 15 states and 5 national prolife ministries. Dan was the keynote speaker in 2014 for the International Prolife Symposium in the Hague and in 2015 invited to be the keynote speaker at the International L'Chaim Conference in Jerusalem. From 1995-2007 he attended Little River Church a family integrated church, near Canton, Georgia where he served as a founding elder, ministering in preaching and teaching. He currently attends Grace Fellowship of Cumming, GA. Active in community affairs, Dan led the successful effort to post the Ten Commandments in the Cherokee County Courthouse and is active in organizing a network of churches to handle the legal immigration and resettlement of persecuted Christian refugees from other countries. A widower, Dan was married to wife Susan for 31 years until the Lord called her home in 2006 after a three year struggle with inflammatory breast cancer. Dan has 5 married children and 26 grandchildren, proving that the Becker's are not just pro-life . . . but also prolific. All five couples embraced courtship as the basis of their romance which resulted in Dan and Susan being featured speakers at local Courtship Conferences."

Reviews for Personhood the Tree of Life: The Biblical Path to Pro-life Victory in the 21st Century

"""Why is personhood such a pivotal issue? As this important book demonstrates, whenever the principles of human dignity and sanctity of life are questioned, the rule of law is automatically thrown into very real jeopardy. No one, then, is absolutely secure, because absoluteness is removed from our legal vocabulary. When the right to life is abrogated for at least some citizens, all the liberties of all the citizens are at risk. Suddenly, arbitrariness, relativism, and randomness have entered into the legal equation. This, then, is the pivotal issue of our age."" George Grant, Ph.D., Author of Grand Illusions: The Legacy of Planned Parenthood ""See, I call heaven and Earth as witnesses today against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore, choose life that both you and your descendants may live."" Deuteronomy 30: 19 ""This book will encourage you, and at the same time, challenge you to reconsider and readjust the priorities of your life. Though his personal testimony and also by thoroughly and logically stating the facts and nature of our struggle, Daniel Becker encourages us to be like the men and women of courage who, throughout history, acted on a personal conviction of conscience without looking back to see who was following. Gideon's army was only 300 men, but they were following a higher vision for a better world--a vision that moved them to action. Likewise, we must act. Life, the greatest and primary gift to humankind, is under threat at its very core. To inspire us to engage in this battle, each author in this book ""blows the shofar"" and gives us a clear call to action: To uphold the sanctity of human life and therefore, remove the curse from our land."" Tony Sperandeo, international Jewish speaker and author; Chairman of Be'ad Chaim, the Israeli movement for the protection of the unborn child Personhood: The Tree of Life seeks to influence public opinion and public policy toward these ends. By broadening our vision to include the many scriptural facets of the sanctity of life and human dignity, the authors have, by their faith-based example, demonstrated a model of pro-life victory in the 21st century. I commend them for their faithfulness. By Most Reverend David Kagan, DD, PA, JCL, Bishop of the Diocese of North Dakota, Bismarck ""Pro-lifers know the infanticide holocaust is the moral crisis of the age. Finally, a book has come forward to show the movement how to end it once and for all."" Steve Deace, Conservative Review"
