This book provides an interesting counterpoint for obstetricians and gynaecologists practicing western medicine, as the explanations, treatments and management are so different...Dr Maciocia is able to compare the up-to-date Western scientific treatment and pathophysiology of the conditions with the TCM perspective...it is hard to imagine a more diverse, comprehensive or better text-book for those practicing TCM who are spcialising in woman's health, or for obstetricians and gynaecologists with an interest in TCM.
