Art today can be whatever one wants it to be: a rotting cadaver, a photograph of someone else's photograph, a banana... Their brand of realism is not mundane photographic realism, but rather it is an intensified sort of realism, a kind of hyper-realism. David Christopher Graves is a philosopher of art, residing and working in Tel Aviv, Israel. He teaches at the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo. Graves is a fanatic amateur painter, with two solo exhibitions under his belt. He has been following this outstanding group of artists for over a decade, and remains in close contact with them still.
