Philipp Blom is a German novelist who currently lives and works in Vienna, Austria. He is best known for his novel, The Simmons Papers (1995). His 2007 novel, Luxor has not yet been translated into English. He is a professional historian who studied at Vienna and Oxford with a focus on eighteenth-century intellectual history. His academic works include: To Have and to Hold: An Intimate History of Collectors and Collecting; Encyclopédie, and The Vertigo Years: Change and Culture in the West, 1900-1914. He is also the author of The Wines of Austria. Jonathan Keeble is an award-winning actor who combines his audio work with a busy theatre and TV career, having featured in over 500 radio plays for the BBC and appearing in everything from Shakespeare to Sherlock Holmes. He has starred in Doctor Who, played the Angel of Death in Hellboy II and is an award-winning narrator who has recorded more than 200 audiobooks. Much in demand for his voice work, Jonathan's broad range also includes voicing the audio guide for The Sistine Chapel. Jonathan was the winner of the 2016 Voice Arts Award for Audiobook Narration - Biography for his work on Paul McCartney: The Life by Philip Norman.
