"Gemma Pérez Zalduondo is Full Professor of Musicology at the University of Granada. She specializes in the relations of music with ideology, politics, power and propaganda in Spain during the civil war and the Franco regime. She was Lead Researcher for the R&D project ""Music during the Civil War and Francoism (1936-1960): popular cultures, musical life and Hispano-American exchanges"". Iván Iglesias is Associate Professor of Popular Music Studies at the University of Valladolid and has been Visiting Professor at the City University of New York, Freie Universität Berlin, Cardiff University, La Sapienza Università di Roma, and the University of La Habana. His first book, A History of Jazz during the Spanish Civil War and the Franco Regime, published in Spanish, received the 2019 IASPM Book Prize and the UNE National Award for Best Book on Arts and Humanities."
