Tyrone D. Burton, Ed.D., holds a bachelor's degree in Instrumental and Vocal Music Education from Northeast Louisiana State University, a master's degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Louisiana State University, and a doctorate from Seton Hall University in Educational Leadership and Management Policy. He also received an honorary doctorate in Christian Counseling from Louisiana Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Burton served on the superintendent's advisory committee and over his tenure, developed twenty-four educators that advanced to various positions within the local school board and the State Department of Education. He retired from Caddo Parish Schools in 2017 as a Distinguished Principal and was hired by the Rensselaerville Institute, an educational think tank based in Albany, New York. He currently serves as a Turnaround Specialist. He is also the founder and CEO of Passion-Driven Leadership. More Than A Notion is his first book.
